May Lin Tye wins Sysmex Prize

Last week we attended the HiNZ Conference in Christchurch, where May Lin Tye was announced as the winner of the Sysmex Prize. The story is reported on the University of Auckland’s website.

Test follow-up solution wins award

A solution to improve the follow-up of abnormal laboratory test results in primary care recently earned May Lin Tye, (a third year Bachelor of Health Sciences degree student), the Sysmex Award for Innovation in Health Informatics.

May Lin named the winning innovation proposal LOOP in reference to the idea of ‘closing the loop’ on test results.  Her business case essay was on the development of a solution to better manage the follow-up of abnormal laboratory test results in primary care settings. Read more…
