Only 23 days to go till we start the Health Hackathon: Solving Self-care! Registrations are trickling in every day and we have 55 people already registered to attend.

Who is attending and what skills do they have? I have created a tag cloud from the skill and expertise descriptions people gave in their registration forms. There are software developers (of course!) and people with expertise in information standards, projects, software solution development, analysis of requirements and of data. There are people whose job it is to provide services to people with long term health issues, and nurses and doctors (GPs and specialists), physiotherapists, mental health care professionals, and other health care professionals. There are people who have long term health issues such as diabetes, depression, stroke, arthritis and other health issues. There are people from innovative companies that develop software solutions, others who provide online services, and others who work in the District Health Boards and in primary care. Some people hold very senior positions and others are still students and many in between.
